Emerging Women

I would have never accomplished the things that I have in my career without the advice, insight and support from my mentors and my digital tribe. I feel very lucky that I had the access to this guidance and I want to make sure that other women have the same opportunities, especially those in emerging economies.

In 2011, I launched Emerging Women with two amazing women in an effort to help other women entrepreneurs connect to each other. Emerging Women amplifies the impact of women in the emerging world by supporting, showcasing and connecting them – to each other, and to partners, mentors and investors. We want to strengthen bonds both locally and internationally to help women achieve their goals.

Our dream is to host events in every emerging economy, and we are starting out with South Africa. In 2012, our first event will be in Johannesburg, where we’ll bring together 150 established and emerging women leaders and entrepreneurs from across Africa to share, teach, and connect with each other.

We just launched our website, and will be announcing speakers and participants over the next few months. The content is still a little sparse, so please be patient while we update it!
